ALLIED FORCES LAUNCH DESERT ASSAULT ON DAHK'TRAN SALIENT

Inching ever closer to SF Mountain Legion forces under General Che Teki, elements of the 91st Naval Land Force began clearing out an important desert crossroads villa near the base of the Gao Phan mountains in preperation for allied encroachment into the vital foothills. The pre-planned operation is expected to last for 2-4 days. Although resistance in the villa was listed as moderate to light, 2 casualties were reported in morning fighting as forces charging the villa came under heavy morter fire. HEAVY FIGHTING CONTINUES IN HRORA KAHN, SHI'LAO NEIGHBORHOOD SMOLDERS
Yesterdays massive air assault on Shi'Lao'Hora'Kahn left much in the way of structural damage but did little to restrain small arms resistance apparently as allied troops continue to press deep into the Southern Capitol. 42 seperate casualties were reported by the afternoon as house to house combat continues.

AHPI'CHEK REMAINS RESILIANT DESPITE NEARING END, SAYS GENERAL WARNER
As NF forces on Carson Island continue to tighten the noose around the Quatico Hills, Gen. Clive Warner of the western command calls legendary SF Commander Koya Ahpi'chek's last gasp military moves as "Resiliant though moot". According to Warner, the current fighting rivals some of the heaviest seen for units of that size during the entire Carson Campaign, but adds that while the southern forces are throwing everything they have into their dwindeling defences, they are now mere days if not hours from the inevitability of surrender. "Their position is simply becoming indefensable" says Warner. "Its the last hour now for Ahpi'chek, but he's definately not going out without a fight". Although the general wouldnt offer an estimation of just how much time he felt it would take to complete the final liberation of Carson Island, he did state that he was cerain fighting would not continue into September, and probably much sooner than that, he added.

NEW INDIAN DELEGATION REQUESTS REOPENING OF EMBASSIES AS FIRST STEP TOWARD RENORMALIZING INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS IN WAKE OF LIBERATION
